As a Befriender, you bring Joy & Cheer to these children and their families; you can make a difference to their lives!

Befrienders provide companionship and play activities for chronically ill children in their homes and children staying in the KK Children’s Hospital.

Befrienders visit and interact with the children in their homes and children staying in the KK Children’s Hopsital.

Minimum age :

16 years & above with certain degree maturity.

Minimum time commitment :

12 months.

Duration :

Hospital visits - Fortnightly

Home visits - At least once a month

Preferred Qualities :

- Have the passion to interact and play with children

- Some prior experience working with children

Provide emotional support to the child and his family;

Interacting with the child;

Involve in play activities with the child;

Establish & maintain a close relationship with the child;

Develop his self-confidence and self-esteem;

Provide support services for the family of the child;

Accompany the child when his parents take a break or run errands for his family.
