Mi Li and I had the opportunity to meet 188 couples, who registered for the ‘Wedding Romance’ in collaboration between the Marina Mandarin Hotel and Sweetest Romance. It was a significant event for the 2 of us as it was a hope for greater awareness of our Marriage Preparation programme (MPP) amongst the soon-to-be-married couples and it was an even more significant moment for me, as I stood on stage to deliver a talk on the importance of an emotional and psychological readiness towards marriage. With the support of MCYS, the talk was designed to introduce the key components of the MPP and to enable the couples to realize their strengths and potential growth areas in their relationship.

It was a gratifying experience for the 2 of us as we shared some of our experiences with the couples on our work. The sales for the Marriage Preparation Programme on that day were hopeful but it has certainly impacted the audience on a deeper and more insightful aspect of marriage and relationships.
